綱： 細胞体は主に monokinetidsで、放射状の transverse ribbonがある。 細胞口は前端部ないしその近傍にある。
目： 細胞口は前端部、ないしその近傍にある。 細胞口?の周囲にbrosse of kinetidsがある。 突出体として、extraoral toxicystsをもつ。
科： Oral dikinetidsは半円形に並ぶ。
伸縮性のある palp (or lappet) が背中側にあり， そこにtoxicystsがある。

属： 細胞は卵形か紡錘形，ないし円筒形。細胞口は先端部にあり，スリット状。
