コクシジウム亜綱　Coccidiasina

亜綱：主に脊椎動物寄生で、消化管とそれに付属する腺の上皮細胞にすむ。 成熟ガモントは小さく、細胞内に寄生する。グレガリナ類にみられるような 連接はふつう起こらない。 生活環は、一般に、 メロゴニー、 ガメトゴニー、 スポロゴニーの各時期からなる。 中間宿主をもつもの（heteroxenous）と、もたないもの（homoxenous）がいる。
ニワトリコクシジウム（Eimeria）、ウマニクホウシムシ（Sarcocystis）、 トキソプラズマ（Toxoplasma）、マラリヤ病原虫（Plasmodium）などがよく知られている。
