亜綱：繊毛が集まった棘毛（cirri）が細胞表面全体にある。上下に押しつぶされた形をしている。 口部繊毛の左側は、polykinetidsによる collar ないしは lapel を形成する。各々は kinetosomeが 2 or 2.5 列 配列する。口部の右側の繊毛の形態は様々で１〜数個の paroral kinetiesからなる。

亜目：腹側前方の棘毛は1本ないし多数の短い fileを形成する。
各fileの長さはバラバラで，まっすぐ（ジグザグ状ではない）。
migratory cirriはない。

科：2 marigial & 1 frontventral cirral files。Cirral filesはカーブないしラセン状で細胞全体に及ぶ。 Cirral filesは ラセン状で背中側へ達する。細胞全体を囲む。

属：口部域は細長い。 cirral files（棘毛列）が細胞をとりまくのは２周以下。
細胞は細長く，先端部が尖っている。ロリカを形成する。
細胞後端部は尖らず丸まっている。
