Chloromonas Genus: Similar to Chlamydomonas, but pyrenoids absent.
Species: Cell body elongated ellipsoidal, both ends rounded, 13-18 μm long, 5-7 μm wide; anterior end slightly swelled, but papilla absent; flagella 1.5 times longer than the cell body; two chloroplasts parietal lateral; a nucleus at the center of the cell body; stigma elongated bar-shaped, at equator or slightly anterior (Süßwasserflora von Mitteleuropa 9, Chlorophyta I, 1983).
