Species: Cell body elongated ellipsoidal, both ends narrowed, 10-15 μm long, 4-8 μm wide; papilla absent; both ends of chloroplast largely concaved; a pyrenoid centrally located; stigma absent (Süßwasserflora von Mitteleuropa 9, Chlorophyta I, 1983).
