Chlamydomonas Species: Cell body ellipsoidal or slightly ovoid, up to 9 μm long, 6 μm wide; papilla as anterior hump; cellwall thin; flagella about 1.5 times longer than cell body; chloroplast lateral, posterior part separated into two lobes; a pyrenoid spherical, located lateral-central; stigma elliptical, located at anterior (at 1/3 of the cell body); nucleus located at posterior (Süßwasserflora von Mitteleuropa 9, Chlorophyta I, 1983).
