When the author used the Hederacea leaf type of Ipomoea hederacea as the female parent and the cordate leaf type of Ipomoea purpurea as the male parent, many descendants had the constricted part between leaf lobes, but individuals of the cordate leaf type were also found (slide 216). As for flower color, the author used a solid red flower of Ipomoea purpurea, and the flowers of the descendants were all solid and small. Descendant individuals of F2 (slides 214, 215, 216), F3 (slide 220) and F7 (slides 217, 218, 219) are shown.
