|  Genus: Solitary or colonial; individuals with vase-like, hyaline, but sometimes, yellowish cellulose 
lorica, drawn out at its base; 
one to two lateral chromatophores (chloroplasts); usually with a stigma; 
in colonial forms daughter individuals remains attached to the 
inner margin of aperture of parent loricas and there secrete new loricas;  (Kudo, 1966). Species: Lorica elongated, slightly curved, 50-120 μm long, 10 μm wide
