Genus: Solitary, but often gregarious; myoneme continuous within full length of stalk (Illustrated Guide, 1985).
Species: Usually in groups; endoplasm filled with refractile reserve granules; vestibule very large with an outer pharyngeal membrane; cell body 50-157 μm long, 35-99 μm wide, peristome 60-125 μm wide (Kudo, 1966). Cell body 80 μm long (Kahl, 1930).
