Sphenoderia Genus: Test more or less compressed; pseudostome elliptical on end of a clear collar (Illustrated Guide, 1985).
Species: Test clear, elliptical, 30-60 μm long, 20-50 μm diam.; collar height 8-10 μm; scales overlapping, elliptical; pseudostome oval slit, 10-22 μm wide; nucleus spherical 20-25 μm; endosome 4-5 μm (Illustrated Guide, 1985).
