M. diminutivum (Bovee, 1972): Rounded, 10-12 μm diam.; locomotive, palmate to clavate, 15-20 μm long; clavate form, 18-20 μm long, 3-5 μm wide; uroid temporary; nucleus single, discoid; contractile vacuole, usually 1, sometimes 2 near uroid, 2-3 μm diam. (Illustrated Guide, 1985).
