D. mobile Archer, 1869: 60-120 μm long, 40-80 μm diam., test ovoid, flexible, attached particles; spinelike projections 8-10 μm long; pseudostome terminal 10-20 μm, variable shape (Illustrated Guide, 1985). One to two contractile vacuoles (Kudo, 1966).
