Baileya Genus Schouteden, 1906 (=Pamphagus Bailey, 1853): Test elastic, compressed; biconvex in cross-section; pseudostome oval (Illustrated Guide, 1985).
Species: 20-70 μm long; 15-50 μm wide; 8-23 μm thick; test clear flexible, ovoid; fundus round to pointed; pseudostome, flattened oval, 3-12 μm wide; pseudopod, clear, filose, may branch, anastomose; nucleus spherical, 5-12 μm; contractile vacuole, 10-12 μm (Illustrated Guide, 1985).
