Species: Trichome slightly wavy, not constricted at cell-cell junctions, 1.5-2.5 μm long, 8-9 μm wide, L/W=1/6-1/4 (0.17-0.25); granules present along septum; terminal cells rounded as calyptra (Illustrations of The Japanese Fresh-water Algae, 1977).
