Lepocinclis fusiformis

Lepocinclis Species: Cell body lemon-shaped, slightly compressed, anterior tapered with blunt end, posterior slightly pointed; 25-51 μm long, 12-39 μm wide; locomotive flagellum 1-1.5 longer than the body; paramylon bodies ring-shaped curved along the cell periphery, usually two in number; an opening of the canal located at the anterior end; pellicle spirally striated at left hand (An Illustrated Guide to Freshwater Zooplankton in Japan, 2000).
