Euglena ehrenbergii
Klebs, 1883

Euglena ehrenbergii Species: 170-400 μm long, 15-40 μm wide; cylindrical and flattened; posterior end rounded; plastic, often twisted; numerous small discoid chloroplasts; stigma conspicuous; flagellum about one-half the body length or less ; two paramylon (paramylum) bodies elongate, up to over 100 μm long (Kudo, 1966). One of the larger species; chloroplasts small, discoid, numerous; paramylon (paramylum) as one or two long rods, 30-100 μm long (How to know the protozoa, 1979).
