Euglena acus
Ehrenberg, 1830

Euglena acus Species: 50-175 μm long, 8-18 μm wide; body long spindle or cylindre, with a sharply pointed posterior end; numerous discoid chloroplasts; several paramylon (paramylum) bodies; nucleus central; stigma distinct; flagellum short, about one-fourth the body length (Kudo, 1966).
