Cyclidiopsis Genus: Only 1 flagellum emergent from canal, colourless; eyespot present; cell body semi-rigid, but can bend and loop; elongated, tapering; paramylon grains needle-like; several species, freshwater (Illustrated Guide, 1985).
Species: Long, thin, 120-210 μm long, 5-15 μm wide; cell glides when not swimming; eyespot pale orange; long paramylon needles (25-30 μm) (Illustrated Guide, 1985).
