Genus: With vase-like lorica; body small, ovoid with rudimentary collar, a flagellum extending
through it; protoplasmic body anchored to base by a contractile filament (Kudo, 1966).

Lorica 17-50 μm high;
cell body 21-35 μm long;
flagellum twice as long as cell body; contractile vacuole terminal (Kudo, 1966).
