Mallomonas Genus: Body elongated; with silicious scales and often spines; two chloroplasts rod-shaped (Kudo, 1966).
Species: Cell body 16-25 μm long, 9-15 μm wide (or 10-13 μm long, 7-10 μm wide ?) (Süßwasserflora von Mitteleuropa 1, Chrysophyceae und Haptophyceae, 1985).
