Genus: Amoeboid unicell, not loricate, solitary or colonial, rhizopodia arising at anly point on cell surface;
sometimes with very short flagellum; amoebae readliy transform into Chromulina-like motile stage;
rhizopodia slender, granulate (Illustrated Guide, 1985).
