Urotricha Genus (Claparède and Lachmann, 1858): Ovoid or cylindrical; apical cytopharynx; posterior bald; caudal cilia present; contractile vacuole posterior (Carey, 1992).

Urotricha sp. similar to U. agilis, cell body pyramidal in shape, 15 μm long, 17 μm wide, posterior without ciliation but two caudal cilia, 8 μm long, x 400, Japan, 1997 by Y. Tsukii
