Stentor fuliginosus Species: Cell body 200-300 μm long when fully extended; a single macronucleus and several micronuclei; cortical and cytoplasmic granules yellow-brown or red-orange coloured; with symbiotic green algae (Foissner and Wölfl, 1994).
