Pyxicola carteri Genus: Lorica attached aborally by stalk; operculum attached just behind peristomal border (Illustrated Guide, 1985). Body attached posteriorly to a lorica; a discoidal corneous operculum developed beneath border of peristome (Kudo, 1966).
Species: Lorica 70 μm long (Kahl, 1930).
