Metacineta Genus: Many thin captate tentacles protrude through 5-8 stellately arranged distal slits of lorica (Illustrated Guide, 1985).
Species: cell body 35-100 μm, lorica up to 800 μm attached substratum with tapered posterior end, tentacles more than 150 μm long (Inoki ed., Gensei-Doubutu Zukan, 1981).
