Holophrya Order: No kinetidal specializations at oral region.
Family: Free swimming; most body kineties bipolar, cytostome apical.
Genus: Cytostome not preceded by invatination lined by body kineties.

Species: Cell body spherical in shape, 60-80 μm in diam. (Kahl, Urtiere oder Protozoa I, 1930).
