Species: Cell body 28-42 μm long, 28-39 μm wide; constriction 8.4-11 μm wide; cell wall covered with granules, arranging in circle around each projection; semicells not twisted with each other at isthmus (Illustrations of the Fresh-water Algae, 1977).
