Eudorina Species: Colony ellipsoidal in shape (up to 90-150 μm long), consisting of 32 or 16 cells; vegetative cells spherical, up to 18-20 μm in diam., with several pyrenoids (An Illustrated Guide to Freshwater Zooplankton in Japan, 2000).
Colony ellipsoidal (sometimes nearly spherical), 60-200 μm long, consisting of 32 or 16 or 64 cells; colony of 32 cells consisting by a stacking of 5 chaplets (4 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 4); vegetative cells spherical or nearly spherical, with equal sizes, 12-24 μm in diam.; papilla absent; chloroplast cup-shaped, sometimes radially striated; number of pyrenoids up to 5 (young cells with only one); stigma conspicuous (Süßwasserflora von Mitteleuropa 9, Chlorophyta I, 1983).
Colony of 32 or 64 cells within a smooth-layered gelatinous envelope 60-120 μm diam.; vegetative cells spherical, 8-10 μm diam., with 2 flagella, 1 chloroplast cup-shaped, 1 pyrenoid (Illustrations of The Japanese Fresh-water Algae, 1977).
