Cosmarium decoratum Species: Cell body medium in size or larger, 65-86 μm long, 51-63 μm wide, L/W=1.25, isthmus 19-32.5 μm wide; semicells pyramidal or trapezoid in shape with flattened apex; cellwall covered with large granules (including apex, c.f. C. pseudomagnificum); many triangular pores present at the center of the semicells (Illustrations of The Japanese Fresh-water Algae, 1977).
