Cosmarium heterodentatum Species: Cell body large in size, 100-112 μm long, 65-72 μm wide, isthmus 22-26 μm wide, L/W=1.6; semicells broad oviform, rounded at base; cellwall covered with conical granules, gradually becoming smaller toward the center of the semicells; small dots present between granules (Illustrations of The Japanese Fresh-water Algae, 1977).
