Cosmarium oblongum Species: Cell body small in size, 50-56 μm long, 22-23 μm wide, L/W=2-2.5, slightly constricted at the center; semicells elongate ellipsoidal in shape, cell wall smooth; chloroplast laminae ridged and radially arranged (Illustrations of The Japanese Fresh-water Algae, 1977).
