Chloromonas vulgaris Species: Cell body broad ellipsoidal, 22-28.5 μm long, 18.5-24 μm wide; a small and broad papillae present; length of flagella nearly the same as that of cell body; chloroplast cup-shaped, filling whole cell body; stigma bar-shaped, located at equator or slightly anterior; nucleus centrally located (or slightly anterior ?) (Süßwasserflora von Mitteleuropa 9, Chlorophyta I, 1983).
