Chlamydomonas steinii Species: Cell body ellipsoidal with broaden ends, 18-30 μm long, 10-16 μm wide; a small conical papilla present; chloroplasts cup-shaped, longitudinally incised; a pyrenoid located at posterior half of the cell body; nucleus anterior; stigma anterior (Süßwasserflora von Mitteleuropa 9, Chlorophyta I, 1983).
