Chlamydomonas Species: Cell body spindle-shaped or ellipsoidal ovoid, up to 16-20 μm long, 5-8 μm wide; small conical papilla present; cellwall thin; flagella nearly cell-body length; chloroplast lateral; a pyrenoid spherical, located lateral-central; stigma small elliptical, located at anterior of the pyrenoid; nucleus located at posterior half of the cell (Süßwasserflora von Mitteleuropa 9, Chlorophyta I, 1983).
