Chlamydomonas peterfii Species: Cell body ellipsoidal or slightly ovoid, 10-15 μm long, 5-10.5 μm wide; young daughter cells slightly asymmetrical; cellwall thin; papilla absent; length of flagella nearly the same as that of cell body; chloroplast cup-shaped; a pyrenoid central-lateral or at posterior half of the cell; stigma at equator or anterior; nucleus centrally located or slightly anterior (Süßwasserflora von Mitteleuropa 9, Chlorophyta I, 1983).
