Chaetosphaeridium globosum Genus: Unicellular, solitary or gregarious; cells flask-shaped composed of globose basal portion and a narrow cylindrical gelatinous sheath, with a long fine seta extending from the cell through the sheath (Photomicrog. Fresh-w. Alg. 4, 1985).
Species: Cells 10-20 μm in diameter at the base (Photomicrog. Fresh-w. Alg. 4, 1985).
