Cyphoderia ampulla

Family: Scales cylindroid, thick, adjacent or overlapped, test usually with aperture bent to one side.
Genus: Test round in cross-section; scales usually adjacent; aperture truncate (Illustrated Guide, 1985).
Species: 60-140 μm long; 30-75 μm diam.; neck diam. 12-25 μm; test clear, chitinoid, ovoid, round cross-section; with round adjoining scales in yellow matrix; short cylindrical neck, bent; pseudostome, round, 10-25 μm; pseudopods like Euglypha; nucleus spherical 20-30 μm; synonyms, C. margaritacea, C. myosurus (Illustrated Guide, 1985).
