Chlamydomonas Species: Cell body spherical or slightly ellipsoidal, 8-20 μm long, 6-18 μm wide; papilla present, with flattened apex; a pyrenoid located at posterior half of the cell body; nucleus anterior; stigma circular in shape, located anterior or equatorial (Süßwasserflora von Mitteleuropa 9, Chlorophyta I, 1983).
