Chlamydomonas Species: Cell body ovoid-ellipsoidal, 9-17 μm long, 8-15 μm wide; anterior cellwall separated from the cell body (papilla extended through the anterior half of the cell); chloroplast cup-shaped; a pyrenoid located posteriorly; papilla absent; stigma located at equator of the cell; nucleus anterior (Süßwasserflora von Mitteleuropa 9, Chlorophyta I, 1983).
