Chlamydomonas Species: Cell body spherical in shape, 12-21 μm in diam. (zygote 14-16 μm); a small conical papilla present; a spherical pyrenoid located near posterior end; stigma circular or slightly elliptical in shape, located anterior half of the cell surface; a nucleus anterior (Süßwasserflora von Mitteleuropa 9, Chlorophyta I, 1983).
