Species: Cell body 42-50 μm long, 42-50 μm wide,
St. kowetsii resembles St. brebissonii but differs by stouter and less closely inserted cell wall spines (Coesel & Meesters, Desmids of the Lowlands, KNNV Publishing, 2007).
