Genus: Colonies pear-shaped or irregular bulbous in a gelatinous matrix;
epiphytic on other algae by a narrowed stalk of the colony;
cells evenly scattered at the periphery of the gel, each bearing a pair of long pseudocilia

Colonies small, ovoid in shape, attached to other substrates at one end
