Vannella Genus: Body fan-shaped in locomotion; Anterior, clear fan lacks bosses (Illustrated Guide, 1985).
Species: Size, locomotive, 25-30 μm long, 25-35 μm wide; clear antero-lateral border (Illustrated Guide, 1985). More or less flabellate, with anterior edge tending to be somewhat wavy; 25-35 μm in locomotion; nucleus 4-4.5 μm; floating form with tapered pseudopodia of almost equal lengths (Page, 1976).
