Difflugia amphora Genus: Pseudostome lacks lobed collar; test round or oval in cross-section; pseudostome relatively large, with or lacking a collar (Illustrated Guide, 1985).
Species : 150-400 μm long, 140-400 μm wide, test large, round, with one to several basal spines, clear to brown, imbedded sand grains in chitinoid matrix; pseudostome large, round, 100-300 μm; with flared, recurved collar (Illustrated Guide, 1985).
Simlar species: D. amporalis; D. elongata; D. solowetzkii
