Genus : Cell body colorless, anterior end bluntly and broadly truncated, posterior end divided to two or three conical projections; longitudinally furrowed; from this furrow, pseudopodia occasionally formed to ingest algal cells; four flagella present; chloroplasts and stigma absent; cytoplasm considerably vacuolated (food vacuoles and others); two or many contractile vacuoles at periphery; nucleus anterior (Süßwasserflora von Mitteleuropa 9, Chlorophyta I, 1983).
