Urotricha furcata Genus (Claparède and Lachmann, 1858): Ovoid or cylindrical; apical cytopharynx; posterior bald; caudal cilia present; contractile vacuole posterior (Carey, 1992).
Species: Small; 15-20 μm long; swimming as well as leaping movement; standing fresh water (Kudo, 1966).
