Oxytricha lanceolata Family: Frontoventral cirri scattered on forward, mid- and rear areas of ventrum.
Genus: Ellipsoid; flexible; ventral surface flattened; dorsal surface convex; 8 frontal, 5 ventral, 5 transverse, short caudal cirri (Kudo, 1966). Oral cavity not wide; macronuclei oval; marginal cirri confluent at rear; body laterally flexible (Illustrated Guide, 1985).
