Mallomonas mesolepis Genus: Body elongated; with silicious scales and often spines; two chloroplasts rod-shaped (Kudo, 1966).
Species: Cell body spindle-shaped, 65-74 μm long, 16-17.5 μm wide; scales rhomboid (6-7 x 4 μm) (Süßwasserflora von Mitteleuropa 1, Chrysophyceae und Haptophyceae, 1985).
