Loxophyllum uninucleatum Genus: Ventral side with a hyaline border, reaching posterior end and bearing trichocysts; dorsal side with either similar trichocyst-border or with trichocyst-warts (Kudo, 1966).
Species: Small; 60-80 μm long; upper surface domed, lower pleated; a flattened band on both sides of cell; trichocysts only in the oral region; a single macronucleus; a single contractile vacuole posterior (Carey, 1992). 80-100 μm long (Kahl, 1931).
