Loxodes Genus: Oral area round, behind rostrum, leads into tubular cavity (Illustrated Guide, 1985).
Species: Extended about 700 μm long; dark brown; twelve to twenty or more Müllerian vesicles in a row along dorsal border (Kudo, 1966). Cell body elongated ovoid in shape, posterior end rounded, up to 635 μm long (or 400-800 μm long by Dragesco); ventral surface slightly flattened, buccal groove reached approximately 1/7 of the body length; numerous Müllerian vesciles, macronuclei; 13-23 in number (Carey, 1972).
